Sift your own flour at home in just minutes with this stainless steel tamis/sifter! Sifting through the 40 mesh tamis will produce high-extraction flour. The exact extraction depends on what type of flour you're sifting. We find you generally produce flours in the 82-90% extraction range with this particular mesh, perfect for removing a significant portion of bran without losing too much flavor and nutritional value.
Finer flour can be obtained by sifting through 50 mesh sifters (sold separately).
Use: simply shake the sifter back and forth over a large metal bowl.
